Leah Hughes has been a Godsend for me. I have a complicated health history including Chronic Lyme Disease, coinfections, mold exposure, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, parasites, gut and hormonal imbalances. She understood ALL of my complicated heatlh history, diagnosed me with CIRS and recommended some tests that showed I had an underlying mold issue. She also insistend that I get my house tested for mold. It has been a process to get better, but following her protocols, I fel so much better. I am truly blessed that she is my doctor.

Hey Leah,
I am reaching out to wish you a Merry Christmas and to also let know that my period this month was actually pain free. I just wanted to thank you for helping me make that possible because I’ve been in pain a long time. ?

Leah has helped me in so many ways to achieve better overall health. I reached out originally for help navigating this new and sometimes scary thing called Menopause. Not only has she helped alleviate many of those symptoms I was having, but she also has taught me some new things I never knew about my health in general. I have made quite a few changes for the better under her guidance that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Thank you, Leah!

Leah took care of me a couple of month ago when I developed symptoms of depression and anxiety. She performed a thorough examination and tested me for things that regular doctors office usually does not test for. As a result she identified several nutritional deficiencies and genetic polymorphism that was causing my body not to absorb vitamin B12 and folate. She started me on a supplement regiment and in about 1-2 month my symptoms resolved. Great provider! Highly recommend.

Andrea

Leah saved my life!
I experienced severe neuroinflammation after covid with severe anxiety. It was debilitating and I couldn’t work. Leah knew exactly what tests to order to confirm this diagnosis and knew exactly how to treat it. She was also there for me emotionally. I had never experienced anxiety before and she spent nearly an hour on the phone with me helping me through an anxiety attack.
She is one of the most intelligent and caring practitioners out there! I would highly recommend!

Leah is a phenomenal health care practitioner. She is so knowledgeable, both from a functional medicine perspective and a Western medical perspective. She is truly concerned and caring for the root cause of whatever is going on for you. I would trust any of my friends, family or clients in Leah’s care.

Keith

My experience working with Dr. Leah Hughes has been absolutely phenomenal! She has hands down been one of the most knowledgeable & compassionate Doctors I have ever worked with. Several years ago I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease and was hospitalized for 8 weeks, had numerous infections and received over 250 IV drugs. After completing this course of treatment I still suffered with lingering inflammation & some infectious issues. Dr. Leah evaluated my specific situation, created a comprehensive testing protocol and implemented a short and long term strategy of treatment, most of which I have found extremely tolerable and uses very little drug therapies. I am currently 4 months into treatment and have never felt this good in many many years! It’s amazing how much can be accomplished when a physician like Dr. Hughes works to get to the root causes of your health issues & has a solid strategy to help you get better.
I continue to work with Dr. Hughes to optimize my overall health & wellness and have referred my family & friends to her without hesitation. I owe Dr., Hughes a huge thank you and have been blessed to have met her. My life has been completed changed for the better, I wish everybody could feel this amazing!

Lauren

Leah is a very detailed oriented and caring practitioner, with a very extensive background from working in the ER and ICU to much smaller functional/integrative practices! With all of her years in medicine, she can hone in on which specific lab work one needs all the way down to basic lifestyle and eating habits. I personally saw her after years battling fatigue, brain fog, and sleep issues. She helped me form a plan for which supplements to start and gradually add in as the weeks went on. Within a few weeks, I was feeling so much better; more energy day to day, my sleep was more restful and my overall life took turn for the better. If your looking for a functional/integrative provider who is dedicated, very knowledgeable, and someone who cares, she is your go to!

Your immune system has a memory. And when it's been exposed to mold — even briefly — it doesn't just forget. Mold and mycotoxins are immune disruptors. They can keep your immune system in a state of chronic, low-grade activation, where it's constantly fighting but never quite winning. That state shows up as patterns most doctors miss: ✓ Sinus issues that flare and clear and flare again ✓ Sudden histamine intolerance (red wine, aged cheese, leftovers — all reactive) ✓ Days where you 'feel like you're getting the flu' but never actually do ✓ Lymph nodes that swell without an infection ✓ New autoimmune symptoms appearing out of nowhere If you're nodding along to more than two of these, your environment deserves a closer look. This isn't anxiety. It's not 'just getting older.' It's a pattern. And patterns can be tracked, tested, and addressed. Swipe through and save this for someone who needs to see it. If you suspect mold exposure, we can help you confirm this with testing. Contact us: Email: info@mountainrootshh.comCall us: 720-853-3500Book a $10 Intro Session: zurl.co/fT2GY ... See MoreSee Less
