The video explains the advantages of Functional and Integrative Medicine over Conventional Medicine, except in certain cases, and what conditions I treat.

Achieve Optimal Wellness Into Your Senior Years

Are you healthy but concerned about retaining that health and maintaining optimal health into your senior years?

We specialize in proactive health plans to ensure that you have optimal health well into your senior years.

Functional Medicine

Uses a science-based approach

Looks at complex Interactions between

  • human biology
  • genetics
  • lifestyle
  • environmental factors

Taking these factors Into account they tailor their approach to the unique individual.

Integrative Medicine

  • Seeks to treat individuals from a holistic standpoint
  • Incorporates a number of different modalities to heal each person.
  • Evaluates the patient as a whole:
    • Physical, mental, emotional and spirtual well-being.

Conventional Medicine

Focuses on Management and Suppression of Symptoms and may not investigate the root cause of the symptoms such as a Functional/Integrative approach does.

My Approach

Details Of My Approach

-I use a science-based approach.

-I look at complex interactions between human biology, genetics, lifestyle, and environmental factors.

-I take these factors into account and I tailor my approach to your unique needs.

Why Select a Functional/Integrative Practitioner?

A functional nurse practitioner

  • Orders specific tests to provide a clinical picture of your health.

  • Seeks to understand you by doing a deep dive into your history and past health.

  • Carefully assesses lifestyle, habits, and other contributing factors.

  • Takes a patient-centered and directed approach

  • Identifies the root cause of symptoms

Functional and Integrative are often used interchangeably

Both models seek to:

  • Find the root cause.

  • Treat “upstream” causes rather than “downstream” symptoms.

  • Take a patient-centered & patient-driven approach.

Both approaches believe lifestyle habits are major factors in development of disease and are the key to healing.
